Writer MATT KEITH has said multiple times “I dont like the fact that they havent chosen a villain yet” I thought I knew what he meant by that, and respectfully disagreed. Thinking to myself “I dont think it will be a problem” Now, however, I understand what he meant. Read the following:
“What we’re trying to do right now is really understand the journey Peter is going to go on this time and have the villain maybe be a counter to that growth, something that he has to overcome,” Raimi said. “Or maybe he has to grow in a way to overcome the villain, because there always seem to be stories of coming of age, of a young man growing up and learning things about life, so once we are identifying the exact movement that Peter has to grow to, I think the villain—and we’re trying this right now; we’re trying to choose a villain based on who would be the proper counter to that growth, so we really have dramatic conflict.”
This is fucked up. Did you read that??? This is bad news.
I thought they didnt have the script AND they didnt have a villain. No, they KNOW what the story will be, but they dont know who the villain will be!!!
This could mean two very bad things: ONE the villain will have nothing to do with the story, TWO theyll try to make the villain(s) relevant to the story and fuck the story up AND the villains origin.
Did you guys GET what I mean in this post? According to what this fucker wrote, theyre deciding to see how the villain they havent decided on will fit on the story. They dont know which villain will fit the current status of the script. DAMNIT!!!! ::::Throws chair against the wall:::::

I’ve always said that about the villain because of what I heard Robert Ebert said once, “Each film is only as good as its villain. Since the heroes and the gimmicks tend to repeat from film to film, only a great villain can transform a good try into a triumph.”
Oh, well- that doesnt always apply…hence movies like Hancock and Watchmen
But, in this case, it WORRIES me
Well, at least we have an idea of who will be. We know it won’t be Carnage(if it is I’m skipping the film entirely). My guess its either The Lizard, Electro, or both.
