The planned Blu-Ray release of the “Lord of The Rings” Trilogy was one of my most anticpated releases. Then, it was announced that they would be delayed so they could insert the extended versions of the films. Yes, I was disappointed at first, but found it to be better for the release. But, now it seems that the delay of The Hobbit may delay the release even longer. Comicbookmovies.com gives us this:
“According to Cindy White@bluray.ign.com, the recently publicized delays with The Hobbit could adversely affect the Blu-ray DVD release of the theatrical versions of The Lord Of The Rings. The release was meant to coincide with the theatrical release of The Hobbit, now possibly pushed back to 2012.”
This just sucks. I understand if they want to release it at the same time of “The Hobbit” to build interest, but why not just go ahead and release them? You don’t need to build interest to release one of the GREATEST trilogies of all time in HD. As long as they have the extended editions, then I’m already set on buying them.
Are you disappointed that we won’t see these films released in HD for awhile.
