I was very surprised to enjoy “Enchanted”. It wasn’t even on my list of films that I wanted to see, and the only reason I checked it out(on TV) was because Doug Nagy gave it a good review. And, I never regretted watching it, and if you haven’t seen it, rent it. There was talks about a sequel to the film not too long ago. But lately, there hasn’t been news regarding the status of the film. Well, in a interview with Collider, Amy Adams made some comments on the POSSIBLITY of a sequel.
Thanks to Collider for this interview:
“How surprised are you by the success you’ve had since Enchanted?
AMY ADAMS: In this field, it’s always got to stay a surprise and you’ve got to stay grateful for it. You have to understand how cyclical it all is and enjoy the ride.
Do you know if there will ever be a sequel for Enchanted?
ADAMS: I don’t know if there’s going to be a sequel. I really don’t know. I’d be open, if there was something put in front of me that was really great, but I think the film stands on its own. Some of my favorite films don’t have sequels, so I love that it stands on its own, but I’d be willing to explore it.”
I definitely agree with her when she says the film stands on its own. Not every film that makes money needs a sequel. And “Enchanted” was just a classic, and is probably one of my favorite Disney films to date. However, the film did make money and that pretty much garuntees that it will get sequel, but at least some good news is that Adams is willing to return.
Would you be willing to see a sequel to “Enchanted”?
