“I wish Marvel would get back all of its franchises and reboot them.” Does that sound familiar to you? Almost everyday I hear people complain about studios “raping” their favorite franchise, and that Marvel should take them back.
And with Disney buying Marvel most were hoping that would get all the Marvel characters back under one roof. Well, Disney CEO, Bob Iger, commented on the Spider-Man film rights.
Thanks to MTV Splash Page for the news.
” Iger said it would be “just fine” if the film rights for “Spider-Man” stay with Sony since Disney would still handle the licensing in addition to their access to the majority of Marvel’s character library.”
I actually had no problem with the Spider-Man films that Sony has made. Yes, there were some changes, but its an adaptation.
It wasn’t until I saw “Spider-Man 3” that I wanted to take back the franchise, and I know there are many out there who would agree with me. However, just because one film is bad doesn’t mean that it should be rebooted. So, here’s hoping that “Spider-Man 4” will be better.
How do you feel about Sony keeping the movie rights to Spider-Man?
