Cloverfield was one of the most under-rated films of the last decade. Sure, the film didn’t have much monster action in, but the story didn’t call for it. I really found the film to be scary in some scenes, which is more than I can say for the “Horror” films that Hollywood has been releasing.
There has been talks of a sequel for a while now, but nothing has been moving forward. There was a time when we weren’t sure if there would be another. But, now J.J. Abrams gives us short update on the status of the film.
Thanks to BloodyDisgusting:
“We’re working on something right now with that and again, you know, it’s early stages.” At least they’re doing something.”
Well, at least we know they are at least trying to get a sequel made.
I really can’t wait for the sequel. I do hope they get rid of the shaky cam in this one. I didn’t bother me, but we don’t need it to be a running gag in the next film(s).
While it didn’t bother in the first film, I do hope that the monster will get more screen time in the sequel. Hell, maybe they should have more than one monster this time around. Maybe we can see the mother, because Abrams has said that the monster in the first was just a baby.
What do you want out of the Cloverfield Sequel? Or do you think the film doesn’t need a sequel?
