Though it’s a little late but I’m doing it anyways. I’m way too lazy so the reasons are a little brief and the same reason why I’m using small posters. Here goes:
15) Shutter Island
A Martin Scorsese horror film with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jackie Earle Haley. This is more than enough for me.
Synopsis: Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
I wasn’t all that excited like the others but the Hit-Girl trailer got me hooked.
Synopsis: Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.
13) Jonah Hex
I’m not sure why I’m excited. Probably because Josh Brolin gave an awesome western-type performance in No Country For Old Man.
Synopsis: In the Wild West, a scarred bounty hunter tracks a voodoo practitioner bent on liberating the South by raising an army of the undead.
Christopher Nolan directed 3 of my most favorite movies ever. Leonardo DiCaprio and I really love Ellen Page.
Synopsis: In a world where entering dreams is possible, a single idea from the human mind can be the most dangerous weapon or the most valuable asset.
I did not really understood what I read above.
No photos available.
11) Red Dawn
I just found about this movie two days ago. I just know the synopsis is awesome and the cast looks great and young: Chris Hemsworth, Isabel Lucas, Josh Peck, Adrianne Palicki, Jeffry Dean Morgan and Josh Hutcherson.
Synopsis: A group of teenagers look to save their town from an invasion of Chinese and Russian soldiers.
Check out the full synopsis from IMDB, it’s worth checking out.
10) A Nightmare on Elm Street
I’m not against remakes and it’s Freddy Fucking Kreuger and on top of it, Jackie Earle Haley is Kreuger.
Synopsis: A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality.
I love Dennis Quaid and Tyrese Gibson. The last horror movie with Quaid was good(Pandorum-2009). The trailer got me hooked.
Synopsis: An out-of-the-way diner becomes the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race. When God loses faith in humankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity’s only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner with the Archangel Michael (Bettany).
8 ) The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
I wasn’t really looking forward to New Moon but this one’s got David Slade, Bryce Dallas Howard and a bigger part for Dakota Fanning(probably, I never read the book).
Synopsis: Lovestruck teenager Bella must choose between her vampire boyfriend Edward and werewolf Jacob.
(That’s all i got).
7) Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps
I love Shia Labeouf and this looks like a fun enough movie.
Synopsis: As the global economy teeters on the brink of disaster, a young Wall Street trader partners with disgraced former Wall Street corporate raider Gordon Gekko on a two-tiered mission: To alert the financial community to the coming doom, and to find out who was responsible for the death of the young trader’s mentor.
6) Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time
The trailer was a bit disappointing but fuck it. I’m seeing this anyway.
Synopsis: Based on the video game, which follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.
5) Clash of the Titans
Because it’s clash of the titans. You need any more reasons? Look at the cast and the trailer.
Synopsis: The mortal son of the god Zeus embarks on a perilous journey to stop the underworld and its minions from spreading their evil to Earth as well as the heavens.
I love it when Jolie hooks herself with kick ass action flicks. The trailer, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Liev Shreiber, that’s all the motivation I needed.
Synopsis: As a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt’s efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: “Who is Salt?”
3) The A-Team
The trailer gave me a shitload of hope. And if you look closely, the cast can do no wrong(except Rampage but he was pretty good from what I’ve seen in the trailer). And I think it is going to be great because the guy who directed Smokin’ Aces is directing this. Smokin’ Aces was so cool!
Synopsis: A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.
Yes!!! A vampire flick like never done before. Terrific cast and the synopsis is just way too much fun.
Synopsis: A priest disobeys church law to track down the vampires who kidnapped his niece.
The whole thing sounds more cool, that’s only what it looks like on the surface.
1) Iron Man 2
Though the trailer was a little disappointing but whatever. I loved the first one and this one’s got Scarlett Johansson.
Synopsis: With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, must forge new alliances — and confront powerful enemies.
So, that’s pretty much it. What are your choices?
