Well, it has been speculated that the final book in the series, “Breaking Dawn”, would be filmed as a single movie or as two-part story.
Now it seems that it will indeed be a two-part story and that it will begin filming this October.
Thanks to Comingsoon.net:
“Last month, “Twilight” franchise producer Wyck Godfrey said that “The issue [of whether there will be one or two movies] is not going to be resolved until we get the full treatment and see whether it’s organic. It really has to do with how much level of detail from the books there is, with all of these new vampires that appear in ‘Breaking Dawn,’ the whole section about Jacob… It’s a very long single movie if it does become a single movie.”
“Today, Deadline Hollywood is saying that the decision has been made and that filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in October. The site added that the studio is looking for a “high-end” director to helm the two films.”
In my personal opinion, the book should be just one film so we can hurry up and end the series. It just seems to me they are rushing these film so they can make a quick buck. And trust me it shows in the first film.
I’m not all that surprised they are filming a two-part story, although. Its the last chapter in the series and fans would want a more detailed film. And that’s exactly what WB is doing with the last Harry Potter book.
The only reason I would want to watch this is that I heard that Edward eats Bella’s kid or something. Now, that sounds like the vamps that I know and love.
Are you glad “Breaking Dawn” will be filmed as two?
