Apparently there was a documentary film about the band called, “When Your Strange” that was shown at the London Film Festival. Since I did miss the film there, I will now get a chance to see the film in theatres. And its narrated by Johnny Depp.
Thanks to Killer Film:
“Watching the hypnotic, hitherto unreleased footage of Jim, John, Ray and Robby, I felt like I experienced it all through their eyes. As a rock ‘n’ roll documentary, or any kind of documentary for that matter, it simply doesn’t get any better than this,” Depp said.
Wolf said he remembers buying The Door’s first album and listening to it a dozen times in a row.
“Both sides. Every song. I’ve been a fan every since. This movies is a story of the band, but it is also an insight into a moment that will never be repeated,” Wolf said.
I’m SO fucking excited about this. A documentary about The Doors is long overdue. True, I do get turned off by documentaries, and is kind of the reason I don’t want to see “The Runaways”, but ITS THE DOORS.
I just hope it comes to my small town. One of the things I’m worried about is that Limited released rarely come to theatres anywhere near where I live. Well, releases that I actually want to see, that is. This is definitely one film I can’t wait to see on DVD.
