I hate it when movies have the sequels numbered in the tittle. Like Iron Man 2 or Spider-Man 3.
I love it when they make a cool sequel name like Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. The only way I like numbers in tittles is if they make a cool creative way of putting the number. Like TR2N.
Well, if you agree with me, youll like the following quote from James Cameron:
“Certainly I don’t want to call it Avatar 2,” Cameron said at the Visual Effects Society Awards ceremony in Century City, Calif., on Sunday, where he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. “He’s not an avatar anymore, is he? Maybe we’ll call it Na’vi.”
This part i dont like so much. Apparently theyll show more of the spiritual Nav’i world in the next one. Hopefully it wont be like Transformers Heaven.
Sure they didnt show the spiritual parts, but thats good, it leaves room for the audience to imagine. Not everything has to be spelled out.
“I think we can see that there’s a greater receptivity to it on the part of the audience than certainly the studio originally imagined, We pared back on it a fair bit in the first film, and I think we can go farther in that direction and not alienate people.”
So what do you think about the name decision and the “spiritual” quotes from Cameron?
