While Transformers 3 is moving forward, the public is still split over the performance of the previous installment, Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. Now the star of the previous films, Shia LeBeouf, told FHM Magazine that he himself didn’t understand what was happening on- set.
Comic Book Movies has the interview:
“Shia LaBeouf, who plays Sam Witwicky in Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen admits that the sequel was a little ‘confused’ and he often didn’t know what was happening on-set. He also believes the film ‘missed the mark’ and ‘couldn’t see what the **** was going on…with certain robots”
Despite his feeling over the sequel, LeBeouf says that he’s still faithful to the franchise and ‘dedicated to making the best movie we possibly can, and we’re not going to miss next time [with Transformers 3].'”
I’m not surprised that Lebeouf is still dedicated to the franchise as the Transformers films have shown to be very marketable, and is almost a guaranteed box-office hit. However, its a bad thing when an actor doesn’t even know whats going on during production of a film. To me Transformers 2 was guilty pleasure despite its numerous plot holes and immature jokes. I know the majority of the audience hates Michael Bay, but I have faith that he can change and make a decent film this time around.
Transformers 3 will hit theatres on July 1, 2010.
