No pun intended. LOL. Anyway, there’s been a good bit of talk surrounding the casting of the lead in Alfonso Cuaron’s new 3D space film Gravity. Originally it was rumored that Angelina Jolie was gonna dump Wanted 2 for Gravity, but ended up choosing neither. At one point Scarlett Johansson was up for grabs along with Rachel Weisz. But now according to Risky Business, Natalie Portman has been officially offered the role by Cuaron and Warner Bros.
Now I’ve always liked Natalie Portman as an actress, thought she was incredible in V for Vendetta and recently in Brothers, so this is good news to me. There’s no denying she’s gotten a lot of love and right now, she’s getting some Oscar buzz for Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan (which looks epic). This could be a good choice for her, especially seeing as it considers a project with the director of Children of Men.
Your thoughts on this? Do you think Natalie Portman should go for it? Or should she…(drumroll) defy Gravity? (Boom Boom, CHING!)
