Man, this keeps going on and on. Casting the lead role in Alfonso Cuaron’s Cast Away in Space film Gravity has been going on for awhile now, and I can’t help but want to tell Warner Bros. to hurry the heck up because its getting old.
Now last week it was rumored to be Natalie Portman, and was revealed that Portman was Cuaron’s highest choice. This for me would be a fine pick, seeing as Portman in this film. However, today it’s been stated by CinemaBlend that Warner Bros. are interested in Sandra Bullock, saying that she is supposedly “the most powerful actress working today.” Yeah right.
Overall, I have to say I’m fine if Bullock gets the role, but I’d rather Cuaron go with his instinct and choose Portman. I think she would do better in the role with a director who is comfortable with that choice. Not ratting out on Bullock at all however.
